Dr. Marcus was born in San Francisco but was raised in Burlingame. He attended Lincoln Elementary School in Ray Park, followed by Burlingame Intermediate School and then Mills High School. He attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and then University of the Pacific Dental School. He also did his Orthodontic residency at University of the Pacific graduating in 1985.
In 1993 he completed the two-year post graduate course taught by Dr. Ronald Roth. This course concentrates on learning how to correct “bites” of patients which is one level beyond tooth alignment.
Additionally he taught in the Orthodontic department at University of the Pacific.
Outside of Orthodontics he enjoys traveling, photography and jazz music.
